The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce El Salvador-Holland

In 2017, Paul Dufour, owner of latinamericantradeagency.co.uk and casalabranza.coffee was asked by the former Salvadoran ambassador Agustín Vásquez Gómez and Sonia Meijer, honorary consul of El Salvador in the Netherlands, to build up the chamber. After it was launched Mrs. Meijer, President of the chamber started with the work and Mr. Dufour, so caught by the situation of El Salvador and the other Latin American countries, founded the two agencies to continue the work from another angle. Since then the chamber, Casa Labranza and the Latin American Trade Agency work closely together and support each other in finding either Dutch customers for Salvadoran companies or Salvadoran companies for Dutch importers.

The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce El Salvador-Holland was founded in The Hague on May 17, 2017 at the Notary and on May 15, 2018 the Chamber was be officially opened in the Dutch chamber of Commerce (called Kamer van Koophandel) in Amsterdam.

Since then the board of the chamber and its university volunteers have been working on data bases of companies and products of both countries so as to create a match between different parties.

The goal is to promote and stimulate the trade between El Salvador and The Netherlands; to support contact between Dutch and Salvadoran Companies; to help resolve problems experienced in the trade between the two countries and help Salvadoran companies in finding technical support in quality production, knowledge in water-management and agriculture or problems experienced in the transport of products. The chamber will organize several courses for Salvadoran entrepreneurs and meetings between Dutch and Salvadoran Business people.

The Chamber is not financially supported by any Government and depends on contributions from member companies from The Netherlands and El Salvador.

We actively help our Salvadoran members find Dutch business partners and support them when problems occur. Since March 2018 we have our own website www.bilateral-chamber-of-commerce-el-salvador-holland.nl with practical information about El Salvador and the possibility to make contact and ask questions.
